The road from Rhodes to Crete
Southern Dodecanese Islands, Greece It is often difficult to leave a port or anchorage where you are comfortable....
14 September 2007 | Portland Maine
We have continued north to Salem & Rockport MA, through New Hampshire and into Maine. We stopped at Peak’s Island for the night (a great sunset) and then headed further north to Georgetown Island dodging what seamed like every one of the three million lobster traps in this state. After wrapping a submerged trap around the propeller we were ready to boycott lobster. That was until a local lobsterman dropped three free lobsters on our deck. What a great meal!
We are in Portland now getting provisions and warming up before we head north to a few more islands. It is getting cold here, so we will be heading to warmer waters soon.
